Hanging Monastery or Xuankong Temple is one of the ancient temples located in Shanxi Province, China.
The temple is located at a height of 240 feet and 50 meters above the ground. Hanging Monastery temple is popularly known as Hanging Temple.
Hanging Temple is a combination of 3 religious i.e., Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.
This unique temple was built over 1,500 years ago on Mt. Hengshan Mountain, near Datong, China.
This area is also known as Hanging Monastery, floats with a loud breeze at the summit of a mountain at 240 feet altitude.
Although the temple was built thousands of years ago, it is still in Excellent Situation.
The temple has about 40 rooms, bridges, and walkways. There are some 78 statues and carvings around the temple.
Many says that the construction of the temple was initially started by a single man named Liao Ran.
